Symbiosis International Students’ Council Educational Trip to Delhi February 2 – 7, 2025

The Symbiosis International Students’ Council 2024-25 embarked on an enriching educational trip to Delhi, accompanied by SCIE staff members- Ms. Rupali Chaudhary, Mr. Anirudha Bhamerkar, and Mr. Shailesh Gosavi. The Council comprises students from Nepal, The Gambia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Kenya, Sudan, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Brazil, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Syria, Kuwait, and the UAE. The trip aimed to provide a deeper understanding of India's governance system, history, and cultural heritage.

Highlights of the Trip:

Raj Ghat Memorial & India Gate: Students visited the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and paid respects at India Gate, reflecting on India’s history and sacrifices made by soldiers.

Parliament Visit: The students toured the Parliament, met Hon'ble Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri Om Birla, and attended a Lok Sabha session where Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi discussed the Finance Bill 2025.

Taj Mahal: A visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal in Agra gave students insight into India’s architectural and historical richness.

Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya: This museum showcased India’s Prime Ministers, with interactive exhibits like the Handwriting Robot, Selfie with the Prime Minister, and the Toshakhana Zone displaying gifts from global leaders.

Culinary & Shopping Experience: The students explored Indian cuisine at Arunachal Bhavan and New Maharashtra Sadan and enjoyed Delhi’s famous street food and markets like Lajpat Nagar.

The trip left an indelible impact on the students, helping them experience India beyond academics and bringing to life the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – The World is One Family.
